Game Informer's E3 Grades + Review Scores

awe cmon - low blow! Spore is a truly truly innovative game that deserves the attention it is getting and then some. :)
With this in mind, the awards are justified in that they are rewarding the best of what was available at that time. While others are showing great promise, one cannot give an award based on ass-u-mptions
The awards for Spore weren't dependent on it coming out, or even being anyhere near coming out. I don't know if there is any consistency or not in how awards are deal out, but it doesn't seem to me that a game has to be out or coming out soon to be awarded.

I don't see how it is relevant. Is it a game? Is it at the show? Those are the only two criteria I'd say that need to be met. Whether the game is worthy of whatever award it is given is dependant on it's competition. If a game is years away from release, yet is still able to be demonstrated as superiour in some specific way over its peers, then it is worthy of the specific award.

If that's the case, then there was either blatant lying or misinformation on the magazines part, developers part, or Sony's part. It was clearly stated on the page(s) that the images shown were "in-game".

This is aside from the point though.

There's always next year. :)
It was?

Anyways, it is still a different case than that of PS3's

Jeez how complicated is this?

GAME = something you play
VIDEO = something you watch

video's don't get awards, and they don't get consideration....because they're not games!!!

ah ?
I was believing that there was a ceremony called "Oscars" just for that...
(giving awards to videos.)

lol - good point! They need to add "Oscar awards" to next years e3. It's a shame we didnt have this sooner, E3 2005 would have been great! ;)
