"Nerve-Damage"

Well I recently replaced my 1080p DLP Toshiba HDTV (resides in the guestroom now) out of the Master bedroom; with a Sony 60in SXRD 1080p. The Toshiba unit cant hold a candle to the deep blacks this unit can produce. Anyhow, here are some random pics with my backup camera (my Canon Rebel XTi is being repaired).

I will upload some comparison pics tomorrow (friendly competition pics) between the two game console games (VF5 Vs DOA4, Gears Vs R: FOM, GTHD demo Vs Forza 2 demo, and much more).

Not got any shots of games running on my system, so ill just show my set-up. We should have a dedicated set-up thread i think :D
 
Well heres my system.. you'll notice theres no skirtin board, thats because ive just redecorated and up-dateing my whole system.

PS3, Ipod, HDMI 3 port hub and a missing 360 ( If you look closely you can see the cables and PSU next to the ipod ) My awsome Scooby Doo and Mutley aswel :D






 
 
Fighting games are quite hard to take pictures of…the constant movement of the characters and background animation. I will post some pic’s later of enhanced PS2 games (Firm patch 1.80), Blu-Ray movies, Xbox 360 CM Dirt, and some final opinions.

TV looks nice. If I may ask, how deep is it?

PS: Thumbnails rock. I know you did put a 56k warning in the title, but Imageshack is, well, pretty damn slow at times regardless...
 
Do you use flash on the pics or not?

I have a cheap $99 digicam, so I'm sure it's nothing compared to yours, but I think I had a hard time getting the shutter to close fast enough without using flash for offscreen pics..I cant remember which way had best results. I think flash left reflection.

Cant wait for the Dirt pics! I may upload some too if I get brave. My TV is nothing compared to your also.

Too me if the pictures highlight one thing it's that the "average user" is never going to be able to tell the difference between these two systems.

1) Without flash (too much reflection).

2) The camera is a Kodak dx4530, a real P.O.S. compared to my Canon Rebel XTi that’s in the repair shop.

3) Dirt pics I will try to post tomorrow or Saturday.
 
"Nerve-Damage" - It looks like you've got the contrast-setting way too high, or using the daylight-mode. Perhaps even the sharpness is standardsetting, should be lowererd from 50 to 30 or something like that.
