I installed Vista the other day along with Firefox and Flash of course. Youtube will cause the browser to pause occasionally for up to like 15 seconds, and sometimes it will just crash completely. I've never seen this before and it wasn't happening on XP.

I wonder if it could be caused by the video card? I really have no idea.

Anyone else having Flash problems?

Just curious but I am guessing you are talking about the latest version of Flash...ie 10 right? Does the same phenomenon happen with your IE browser? I remember Flash wouldnt install for me for Firefox because my hard drive raid setup is labeled I instead of the usual C. A multi card reader had taken up C as one of the letters so I had to change the letter of one to point to my usb and then stick a flash drive and then flash was able to install. Lame I know but this has never happened before. I think the new version of Flash 10 is CRAP!

I think I nailed it down to the Download Helper addon. But I'm not 100% positive of that though. What I did was uninstall Firefox, delete all of its folders (incl those in Users), and reinstall it all. Skipped that plugin because I very rarely use it. Seems fine now.

I always install that plugin though so it may not be the culprit. There may have been something else awry.

ouch! that's extremely negligent, how hard is it to check something like %winbootdir% and %appdata% environment variables?
