EA cuts prices on some video games

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Electronic Arts Inc. (Nasdaq:ERTS - news), the world's biggest video game publisher, has reduced prices on some titles by 20 percent to spur sales and thwart competition, an analyst said on Monday.

"NBA Live 06" and racing titles "Burnout Revenge" and " NASCAR 06" were among the console games subject to the price cut from $49.99 to $39.99, Banc of America Securities research analyst Gary Cooper said in a client note.

Well, that's interesting, I tried Burnout Revenge, and while it's still not a racer, like first two titles, the but a still Demolition Derby-like as Burnout 3 was, I thought it was cool enough.

Not 50 bucks cool, but maybe I'll import it for 40 (Except if they also reduce the european price too).
Well, that is, if somebody can confirm me if the load times are better on the Xbox compared to the PS2 version. The PS2 version I played had awful load times, and that every time you retried a race.
