Heh, I was googling again....I really must stop throwing the hours away!

Anyway, I found this intriguing little thread from 1997 from a fellow named Stefan Podell (rendition employee? gotta be) describing how they coded Vquake for the V1000, around the Quake engine's 2 rendering paths. Very sit back and eat popcorn-rific.
