Death Stranding 2 26th June 2025 [PS5, PC later, Xbox 2030?]

Wait...DS had only 100 heads? That's nuts
Not just team size, but the sheer turnaround time, too. They went from inexistence to a polished, good size AAA game release in just a handful of years. I'd been very critical of Kojima over the years, and I have to say he threw pie in my face in how efficient he managed to keep Death Stranding's development, all while still including countless Kojima-ism details in the game that I imagine drives many of the developers mad.

I also think it demonstrates how inefficient most other game development ultimately is. And how a strong guided vision from somebody with experience can help so much. Much less time wasting or going down fruitless paths, which likely eats up massive chunks of modern game development timelines.

I'm still very split on how I feel about Death Stranding and whether to be excited by the new game, but I think there's a ton of potential with what the team can do with established workflows now.

Fake edit: And yea, Kojima is undeniably pervy. He doesn't always go for the most traditionally 'hot' women, but he clearly aims to jingle keys for the horny boy demographic nonetheless.

Absolutely INSANE production values and creativity. Kojima is still top.

And if this is Death Stranding 2, can you imagine what Sigint (edit: I meant Physint :D) is going to look like, considering he's said that it's going to be far above anything they'll have attempted before. Crazy stuff.

This, alongside hellblade 2, is the best looking game there is. It doesn't have the lighting precision of path tracing but kojima productions art direction and attention to detail makes it more than the sum of its parts.
