Doh! I was there last week! :(

Are there any details?

None at all expect it's called something something - "EX"
which naturally leads one to belive that it's no match for NV30 (E less than F)

I'll be there tuesday, I assume other pages will report from thsi comdex too, if not I'll personally be posting at the swedish site www.nordichardware.se
and if we appear to be exclusive I might translate it into english

No, no no, you've both got it all wrong.

E if before F, so that means that the Ex is going to come out before the Fx.

Also F is 'later' then E, so F is going to be 'late', which it is :p

Hahaha. Never thought of it that way.
Another thread gone of topic..... hang on, thats my fault. Oops.

Hmm did you read the "pressrelease"?
I can't seem to find it now but it sure doesn't look like this card will be very interesting (for gamers).

It said something like it being an "image accelerator" and it sounded more like "this is fast for office applications" rather than games.

I'll try to find it again.

Wait a second...
At nV News, you say nVidia was going to announce a boring product.
And here, you say 3DLabs is going to release a product with performance inferior to the GFFX, thus probably also boring.
What is this? Boredex?
Or wait... Maybe it's a 3DLabs & nVidia graphic card! So, you put one GPU and one VPU in a multi-chip solution and... tadam! A VGPU! Sounds good to trick people who think bigger acronyms are better :D

Back on topic: So, if it's E, would it be mid-end? Or low-end?

I didn't say it was a boring product, just a broing announcement. ;)

As for low/mid end that press release (which I obviously canät find, it wasn't a pressrelease for that specific card just new Creative products in general thus had very limited info) indicated nothing at all about gaming performance or features, rather office productivity.

Its on the front page. 8)

Ahh hadn't seen that, thanks.
Well yeah as I said that short text (though not much to go on) doesn't really sound like this will be a very gamer oriented product at all to me at elast.

It's a "re-launch" of the GeForce FX.
Interesting huh?

All you can expect is perhaps definite retail availibility dates other than that they will just be running demos on a 60 inch screen and probably some Personal Cinema 2 stuff I'd expect.
The point being that they're running final hardware and proper drivers to show it off.

At first I thought it was some kind of European or at least Scandinavian "launch" but after reading the public announcements Network made (one day sooner than expected btw, probably since they told everyone and then told them "don't tell anyone" hehe) it seems as if it's just "we're showing the card in its shipping condition".
