Creating an image of a fresh win xp installation

I intend installing win xp sp1, drivers, utils, office and common apps on my new sata hd.

I intend creating an image of this fresh installation.

These are the steps:

1. Create a partition for windows and program files. Size: 30gb(?)
2. Use ghost(?) to create the image of that partition and store it somewhere.
3. In the future if windows gets bloated with junk, I'll just overwrite the partition with that image. (of course I'd save email and p2p info in advance).
Game and multimedia files should be in another partition.

I'd like to hear your comments about the above procedure.

TIA.

Thats what I did with my Dell D600. Basically reloaded the OS installed everything I needed....its handy when it comes down to it...I also got Ghost Serv...errrr...ehh....edition...

Don't ask HOW I got it...but I love GhostCast Server at work...so I had to make one at home! I love saveing my images on my 250GB harddisk and wanting to ghost my laptop...all I would do is put on my bootable CD, connect to the network...type in the GhostCast session name...and the Machine either starts to DUMP the image or Install the image on the server.

I love GHOST! ~_~,
