Compression Ratios

Does anyone know if there is a mathematical equation for finding out the gain in Horse Power by raising the compression ratio? As in, let's say I have an engine that makes 100hp at a 10:1 ratio, how much hp will it make at 11:1, 12:1 etc.

I seriously doubt it. Higher compression doesn't inherently raise power, it's just one parameter for adjusting the combustion condition. In this case pressure. You don't get more air-fuel mixture in there, just more pressure(and hence higher temp. also) before you ignite it.

That in turn of course _may_ mean that you can use a richer or leaner mixture for instance, but there are a _lot_ of other considerations to take into account. You may even get less power in the end if raising compression is the only thing you do.
