card for a no-player

Hello,
I used to play games in PC years ago, but now, that I have much less time, I only play in videogame consoles.
Now I plan to build a new desktop PC. I need to choose a graphics card, but I won't be using the PC for playing games, as a general rule.

what card do you recomended me??
I will be using the PC for design (mainly 2D, but some 3D probably), video encoding, web development (which is my current job), ...

I'm thinking about getting x1300 or x1300 PRO (I don't feel like geting the HM version.. I don't like 64 bit memory buses!)
Also, a Geforce 6600 GF, or 7300 GS...

By the way, the multiview tech that these cards offer, is for using two screens to get a virtual bigger screen side by side?? or can you use it to have 2 independent screens??

problem is that I want to build a Allendale CPU system. And I want a good motherboard. So, I'm thinking about Gigabyte DS4. It has no integrated graphics. I also can choose an Asus P5B, but doesn't have neither.

Well then the cheapest 7xxx series GeFocre or the cheapest X1xxx Radeon will do fine. Radeon could be more interesting because of Avivo transcoder, but otherwise just get the cheapest one.

What about 7300 LE ??
I can't find reviews about it... it is a bit cheaper than X1300 and X1300 PRO, but it also seems like a very cut-down card.
Otherwise, x1300 pro is cheaper than any other G7300 except 7300LE

If I choose X1300 non-PRO, do you think it could be good idea to chose the HM model??

HM is Hyper memory and all the HM models at 64bit memory and steal system memory for video memory. If you go X1300 then don't get a HM model. X1300 have AVIVO that well speed up video encodin by taking some of the load of the CPU and the GPU will do some of the work speeding up video encodin.

I think a big important consideration should be that you get one that's quiet. ;)

HyperMemory and TurboCache cards don't steal system memory - it's only used as video memory when an program requires it. Given that the OP isn't looking to do any form of 3D gaming, I personally would go with Arwin's suggestion and go with the quietest, simplest of cards which are more than likely to be passively cooled, 64-bit memory bus models. The bandwidth (or rather, the amount of it) isn't going to be an issue here.
