I've seen 3 of them (open source).
Log4C.
Log4CPP.
Log4Cxx.

I cannot afford the nice commercial ones. :(

All 3 are bug ridden and haven't been updated in months.
Log4CPP from Apache recommends you don't even use their current build. :???:

I really don't want to nor have the time/patience to make my own as I have to deal with loads of other problems.
Can someone please recommend me a library which is open source.

Thanks.

what functionality you need ?! not that I know of any "logging" library.. logging seems so easy to be done :D

Based on the evolution of log4j it isn't so clear that efficient and highly configurable logging is "easy".

Logging is the quinticential example of how trying to make something for everyone that is generic is hard, no matter how trivial the original problem seems.

Aint that the truth! Ive fallen into that trap many times, trying to make something generic usually ends up being anything but easy.
