BOINC is live!

If you haven't heard of it, it is the successor of SETI@Home, and also a general framework for other distributed computing projects. Right now I have signed up for SETI, continuing my tradition of looking for ET. Wanted to ask you guys though if anyone knows of any other BOINC-compatible projects?

IMO that's a waste of energy. I'd rather waste the energy to fold some proteins, or even to find the greatest prime.

Yeah, I agree it's probably a waste short-term, but if we do find ET, they will probably have the cure for cancer already so then it becomes cycles well spent!

No, seriously, I hopped on the SETI bandwagon when it was the only distributed project around, and then I stayed there just for old times' sake. Also, I happen to enjoy Star Trek in pretty much all its various incarnations, and I think we already have prime numbers large enough... ;)
