BNC cable and refresh rate

I have just bought a Philips 202p4 and a new bnc cable.
Does a bnc cable only support a max refresh rate of 60Hz?

i can pick much higher frequency but the screen only shows 60Hz?

btw i'am also using a radeon8500 and the newest drivers and control panal

windows cant detect your monitor when you use bnc cables, so you'll have to set it manually.

Open Display Properties and click Settings -> Advanced. Select the Displays tab in the ATI Control Panel. Click Monitor and under Monitor Attributes you should be able to select a maximum refresh rate. Set this to whatever your monitor supports at your resolution. After that, set your refresh rate as usual and you should be fine.

That worked for me on my Radeon 9100.
