Bjorn3D has more on the Futuremark canundrum...

Something doesn't make sense....

We've teased you long enough. The winner is: NVIDIA's GeForce4 Ti 4200 with 23%! Second is ATi's RADEON 9700/9500 Series at 10% and third is NVIDIA's GeForce4 Ti 4600 at 8%.

Looks to me like Ti4200 has 29%, 9700/9500 has 13%.

Why did they group the 9700/9500's? Can 3dmark not tell the difference between 9700's and 9500's?

No Futuremark can't

We'll be able to do this on data based on 3DMark03, but not on data that's based on 3DMark2001. This data is from the same report that Dave posted here i.e. Dec 1st - Dec 31st 3DMark2001 users (there's another thread that deals with the specifics).

Also, it seems that there's a typo in the graph. The figures in plain text are correct, but the graph figures are slightly higher for some reason (the graph is not from our data report)?

Cheers,

AJ
