Hmmm...high revving 2 strokes are mainly for motorcycles and AFAIK the highest revving production motorcycles top out at around 15K rpm which equals 250 rps. I'm pretty sure there are microprocessors fast enough to do 250 ignitions/sec. Processors nowadays are into BOPS range performance.
Nappe1, you say there's no mechanical link from the engine to the wheels so do you think there's some sort of high power alternator that directly feeds the DC motors in concert with the battery when at WOT?
