and once I have found the first Nforce 250, as far as I can tell in UK

it's a bit on the expensive side for A64 mobos for £128 but it's the high end version and I'd expect they'll always be around £100 mark.
and on the same site OEM 3000+ for 135£ which is not much at the moment, plus the Gigabyte 3D Ultra cooler for 30£...

Wohooo... should come by the end of the week... so I can continue playing Far Cry on desired settings

Don't get it. Its only HT bus of 800mhz and not 1000mhz like the Nforce3 250PRO

The Via K8T800pro is out too and has HT bus of 1000mhz.

dang.. can't be that bad... (to go for via instead)

there is someone on NforceHQ forums saying that you can up the HT speed to 5x... and that was on the value version... I dunno, but well it's on the way already... we will see.. one way or another... at least the chipset is there...

at least it shouldn't have VIA bug with Creative and sound in Far Cry
