Indiana Jones and the Great Circle [XBSX|S, PC, XGP]

Just passed 25 hours in-game...the fast loading is very nice.
Also the pat of not waiting for shader compilation every driver change (eyes Black Myth - Wukong)

btw any idea why it use bink video instead of something that can be offloaded to hardware decoders like HEVC?

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle Update 2 Brings Support for GPUs With Less Than 8GB VRAM, Global Illumination Improvements on Xbox Series X|S

no talk about XeSS 2 support. FG + Upscaling. Sigh
You might be able to inject XeSS with something like this: https://github.com/cdozdil/OptiScaler

thanks! I downloaded it but it doesn't work 'cos it's a Vulkan game and in the case of that API it only works with FSR, not with XeSS.

Auto-SR was allegedly meant to fix issues like that but MS never truly materialized that possibility. Additionally, they could easily implment XeSS in game, meh.

Btw, the menus of the newe Intel Graphics Options app are really nice and elegant to use. Great design. I enabled Low Latency, the new XeSS 2 LL feature in a jiffy.

Intel has an uphill battle to get developers to listen and implement their solutions.

Didn' t NVIDIA propose a thing where Intel said "yes" and AMD was like "nah"?

Ahh, darn, apologies for leading you astray, I missed that XeSS wasn't a thing under Vulkan with OptiScaler - hopefully one day!
Looks like FSR3 + FrameGen might be possible though, although as I read the docs a bit more they were talking about how it wasn't working with Doom Eternal specifically, so might also just have issues with IDTech games.

it's a great app to have installed and use on so many other games.

Regarding Doom Eternal, it's one of the games where XeSS was working correctly using mods. I used the mod on which OptiScaler is based on and it was a great experience. I think I still have the pictures in the XeSS thread of the forum

Just finished, realy enjoyed tough gameplay was little tiring and the end of game so could be better paced. Few scripted moments like in Himalaya top notch. Graphics realy good with exception of rather mediocre character models and weak animation. 8/10

I miss Ray Reconstruction and Pathtracing for local light sources. Ray reconstruction would make a big difference in visual stability and quality. Many finer shadows are missing. It's good to hear that Ray Reconstruction is still to come. This game looks better than almost anything on the market but vurrently Alan Wake 2 is still a different level.

The game itself is good. But, as in Star Wars I don't like the silly, childish jokes. I prefer it serious.

May be worth checking if there's a work around, see:
haven't tried it yet, but I will. I really want to use XeSS in this game. I haven't had the time to play the game, Chrsitmas is a very busy time for me, 'cos of family stuff and having dinner together and so on and so forth.
