    Upgraded to G80

(micb = PeterAces bro) These cards are bigger in size than I thought, they are beasts! I thought with Crimbo around the corner and I'll have plenty of time to play games, why not splash out on something that is so cool. Now I just gotta keep my mind off going for a silly CPU/Mobo setup to...

    Class T amp for 23$, a revolution?

IF you are *really* worried about clipping then you can scope (using a o-scope) your input signal and find its maximum unclipped level and then scope the amplifier output and then you know you won't be clipping if you play below that level. Dynamic range is the difference between the...

    Post interesting facts about yourself....

    1) I am 24 Years of age. 2) I am a Twin (PeterAce). 3) 2 main girlfriends. First one was long time ago I'm still good friends with her. Second GF we almost lost each other forever due to a potential carrer choice of hers (RAF), but life has chosen to smile fortune on me and she is looking at...

    Music/song with the deepest bass

Sorry got a bit technical there.... Speakers roughtly output sound as a function of sd (which is cone area + half of the surround) x excursion. Excrusion is the movement of the cone forward and backward by its motor assembly. A speaker driver can only move forward and back so far before...

    Music/song with the deepest bass

From what I have seen and heard there nothing wrong with properly encoded mp3's for bass. Even 128 bit mp3 of some of the tracks on that list can have very stong low end output. I have run loads of them through Spectrum Analsys/FTT and you can clearly see fine bass levels. My personal...

    Music/song with the deepest bass

Bass Mekanik has some pritty decent basslines. BM: 5.0/Sonic overload is not to bad. Fuel/Tipper, Rebel Sound have some good bass. Try and find Bass Mekanik - Tocotta in D, strong bass right through the spectrum including very very strong 20/25hz tones. IASCA - Moon with a Rebel bass...

Who said LCD technology couldn't compete with PDP?

LED's like the the ones on a optical mouse have a narrow degree beam, some of the blue torches I have made use 15 degree beams. A monitor like LCD has a far wider degree angle of light.

How do you pronounce Dave's surname?

Yes, I actually usually say: 'Heart-ford-sheer'. Also I was speaking to a work college who lives in Northhamptonshire. He also says 'sheer' not 'shire'. So it may stretch further than we thought.

How do you pronounce Dave's surname?

The real question I find myself asking is not how Dave B pronounces his surname but how he pronounces Bedfordshire, does he do it the Bedfordshire way or the regular way.

    Subwoofers

A port or vent is a way to increase output form a speaker system, the vent is tuned to a certain frequnecy point, this frequency point will effect the response curve of the speaker system. Above that tuned frequnecy there is extra load against the driver to reduce excursion, an disadvantage...
