    WDDM 2.0 and beyond

Will they reduce the overhead of GPGPU?

Llano IGP vs SNB IGP vs IVB IGP

Maybe I'm wrong but I think they weren't talking about the Graphics Core. They meant the CPU performance for Vector Floating Point will exceed the performance of current discrete graphics cards. Add that to the inherit advantages of CPU's and you'll get the best platform for the scenarios they...

    Sandy Bridge preview

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/idf-2010-sandy-bridge-lga-1155,2747-3.html What do you mean by saying: X.264 is accelerated by a separate video decode engine Thanks.

    Sandy Bridge preview

Too bad the Media Engine and the GPU are connected. If you use Discrete GPU (Disabling the built in Graphics) you lose the Media Engine. Moreover, I wonder if x.264 could be accelerated using the Media Engine.

Image Processing on The GPU Forum

    I just see it's more 3D oriented. I could give it a try :-).

Image Processing on The GPU Forum

I meant developer's forum. Forums about Cg, HLSL and other languages for using the GPU for image processing. I'm looking for developer's forum, not users.

Image Processing on The GPU Forum

Hello. I would like to learn about Image Processing / Video Processing in the GPU. Is there a forum (Not on Beyond3D obviously) dedicated for implementing Image Processing algorithms on the GPU (Cg, CUDA, Open CL etc...). For example Bilateral Filter, Face Recognition, Skin Segmentation...

    AMD: R9xx Speculation

It's Egg Chicken Circle. Once they give the performance and capabilities there'll be programs -> applications who would take advantage of that. I'm not really sure(Don't have any real knowledge in that), but does Video Encoders use DP or do they us SP? I don't know, for me as a user who...

    AMD: R9xx Speculation

Why not? Let's say I use Jacket with my Matlab programs (Mathworks already working on Open CL support on their on), I do need a solid DP performances and yet don't have the money for a professional Tesla card. With more applications taking advantage of the GPU that might be a factor, much...

    Semi Accurate's 4XX views

I'm not an expert but I find it hard to believe that the second largest Semi Conductors company is behind TSMC in its process. Moreover, it can't be compared to IBM, where Samsung's specialty is mass production (Where IBM doesn't excel).

    Semi Accurate's 4XX views

How come no GPU company has tried Samsung for fabbing services?

    The AMD Execution Thread [2007 - 2017]

Thanks for the answer. If I may, How come IBM manages to pay for a research for the next generation "Node", build a Top Class factory with being one of the smallest Semi Conductor company? Its Semi division is something 15 times smaller than Samsung.
