Different upscaling methods i guess. PS4 Pro might be running a simple bilinear upscale while the XSX might runs lanczos.
Destiny 1 famously runs the same settings across the consoles though the XSX forces x16 AF
It's somewhere in between a GeForce 3 and GeForce 4 in terms of feature set. It has the shader-pipeline layout of a GeForce 4 while only having the clockspeeds and the feature set of a GeForce 3
The SSR is quite artifact ridden in BF2042, especially on guns where it's ghosting like f***.
Could these artifacts be caused by the lens effects they are using on masse? Like the lens distortion, chromatic abbreviation, vignette etc.? At least they are toggleable even on console. On by default...
These kind of shutters also exist on some BC games. I noticed them in Killing Floor 2 and the recent Doom I and Doom II ports. You can't even turn without a massive frame-time spike. They ran fine on my old Xbox One X.
I reported these issues to Microsoft but haven't heard back from them (don't...
PS4 BC on PS5 does now allow for 120fps it seems:
Is either buggy or limited to HDR off though:

EDIT: Is applicable to MW2019 in general. Tested it myself.
I'm pretty sure thats an SDK thing since BF4 most likely uses the old draw call limited DX11 mono driver SDK which has notoriously bad cpu performance. Which also points to that direction is that the newer BF1 and BF5, which run higher resolution and better graphics have a basically perfect...
Because it was, as stated in the video, various sleepless weeks for him of work to patch the game to not run at double speed. Also this uses the PS4 Pros boost mode to hit it's targets at 720p. From Software most likely didn't get the funding from Sony to do it or actually patch the game to be...
From almost never reaching the target framerate to basically locked 30 bar a few framepacing issues. Impressive!
I guess the game was heavily GPU-limited on the 360.
Jup, still suprised by the "good" quality of this Pro Patch. It ticks all the right boxes: Better resolution, better framerate & better graphics. Bethesda isn't normally that "careful" when it comes to PlayStation ports.
