This looks like a great little addon.
Control Center - Component Features:
->Customisable Backlit LCD Display allows user to name individual Inputs for simple navigation.

->Advanced Signal Regulator Technology monitors the Output Channel and automatically compensates for weak signals.

->Electronic Switching and Remote Control allow for effortless operation.

->Connections for HDTV ready Component Video, Digital Optical, S-Video and Composite RCA Phone.

->Built-in 5 port 10/100 Ethernet Switch provides reliable connection to PC, Xbox Live and other Broadband services.

->4 Digital Optical Inputs for digital sound
The RRP is $169 AUS.
It would be great for people that have 2 or 3 different consoles but have limited connections on their TV.
Have they shown up in any shops in America?

Edit: Oops, this is where I saw this. http://www.joytech.net/products.php?section=viewprod&productID=49&lang=1

Certainly looks useful considering how many people only have 1 set of component inputs, 1 or 2 digital ins, and a limited number of ethernet ports. Still, this is just an expensive Xbox 360 branded device, I'm sure there are cheaper ones without the brand and the ugly white casing.

I've never had good luck with splitters in the past though, I had a Pelican system selector for a day, and not only did it reduce the quality of the video over the component inputs (most likely svideo and composite as well) but it was broken and would only output mono sound.

Thankfully next gen systems will be backwards compatible, and wireless, so a device like this isn't that needed. (I already bought a wireless bridge, not Xbox branded thank you very much, for my original Xbox) My current set up has the Xbox hooked up through component inputs through a video scaler, with my gamecube hooked up to a component to vga transcoder using the vga pass through on the scaler. (I also own a gamecube VGA cable, but quality is inferior to using the transcoder as dithering artifacts, or whatever a screen door effect is considered, are introduced into the image for whatever reason)

It say's HD-READY but if those component video inputs are'nt of the 100mhz then its useless. Home Cinema Amp/Reciever have just started to get 100mhz componemt jacks.

Seems nice, and the price doesn't seem too horrible (compared to the other overpriced ones out). Too bad they decided to make it look ugly as sin -- should be the normal black electronic (simple) instead of trying to draw attention to itself with its wacky look!

It would seem to me that the idea is that it blends with the xbox360 design./shrug It could be worse, it could look like a ps3.

If it was black like electronics have consistantly been for the last 20 years (which is for a reason, they look good and don't stick out like a sore thumb in a media cabnet), it wouldn't matter what it was shaped like. It's that ugly matte white that looks dumb.

I really wish the 360 was offered in both white and black versions. Perhaps they are trying to differentiate the 360 from the original XBOX and PS2, but it does stick out like a sore thumb next to all black equipment. :)

Well for the console itself you can buy a face plate. Perhaps they will offer some for this box.

A pointless add-on IMHO for HD. Most HDTVs come with multiple inputs, and many people with HD and non-default speakers own AV receivers with their own switching.

Yeah, but a black faceplate on a big white plastic box? I don't think that would quite cut it in the looks department, and I'm not sure how I could prevent the sides of the white 360 from being seen...

OTOH, there are some full console "skins" now for the 360 that use removable vinyl precut decals. Look pretty nice. I might be interested in one of those.

Tons of them in fact.

I kind of like this one myself.

Ew, that black skin looks ugly. The contrast between the black and the pearl white doesn't look good, not to mention it highlights the ugly shape of the system.

ooh that's sexy...I think I'll pick one of those up (the black skin that is)

the "no goo" removal is awesome if true. I don't like the idea of applying vinyl, but if it peels off it's perfect
