Which University has contributed to 3D technology the most?

I had to really be careful with the thread title so I hope I got it right because I know there are probably a number of university students and deans scouring this forum on a regular basis and I really don't want tribal behaviours to dominate this thread!

From theory papers only, to theory-turned-reality via hardware or software algorithms, to, well, anything to do with 3D technology... it's not necessarily about quantity but quality too.

When it comes to positive contribution to the advancement of 3D technology, which university takes the lead?

I would also greatly appreciate links to whatever 3D-related stuff from whichever university that you think deserves a mention here.

Off the top of my head, I was hazard a guess it'd be either the University of Utah (and not just for the teapot) or NYIT.
