When the big players are stumbling, it's going to be tough to break into a leadership position in the market. Though the teams involved with Deltachrome are probably experienced, I think that the organization overall has simply been out of the picture too long and isn't able to hit the ground running.
Things could get better, though I think that they're going to have to stick through several luke-warm generations before being poised to play a major role.
