What do you think when a company cheats you?

What do you guys think of a company that rips you off just so they can pay for their past mistakes?

For example nVidia cheating in it's drivers to gain a better result

or

Phillip Morris raising the price of Kraft products in order to pay for a lawsuit that involved its cigaretts

or

A company such as Myrril Lynch who's financial advisors advised their clients to purchase stock that they needed to dump?

or

MCI World Com and many others who hid debt as profit....

In the end we all are looses as we have to pay for the unethical behavior of companies through higher prices

Ripping you off is bad, of course. Problem is, not all of your examples are that of being "ripped off."

For example nVidia cheating in it's drivers to gain a better result

Any time a company is not truthful or honestly representing their products, it's bad. It misleads consumers from making a properly informed choice.

PM doesn't "artificially" raise the price of anything to pay for lawsuits. They sell products at prices the market will bear. They don't have a monopoly on macaroni and cheese, so they cannot be ripping off consumers who are simply make a choice on what mac and cheese to buy.

I won't comment on the other situations that I don't know enough about to comment on.

It is just Ferengi law

#1 Once you have their money ... you never give it back.
#2 You can't cheat an honest customer, but it never hurts to try.
#10 Greed is eternal.
#15 Acting stupid is often smart. (my favorite  )
#19 Satisfaction is not guaranteed.
#20 When the customer is sweating, turn up the heat.
#60 Keep your lies consistent.
#89 Ask not what your profits can do for you, but what you can do for your profits.
#242 More is good ...all is better.
#267 Cheating is wrong, but it's good for business.
