HI i have a very strange Problem with VMR9 windowed on a Windows XP system
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp.080413-2111)
GFX: Geforce 8800 GT (G92 512mb) Forceware 178.15
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
My problem is that with a VMR9 windowed surface i experience strange Kernel Peaking on Video Playback (exactly when CPU peaks) this causes frame drops (stutter motion).
I already tried different Nvidia Driver rev 169.02,175.19,178.13,178.15 it's always the same though VMR7 surfaces work without these problems (many software uses VMR9 by default) i don't think it is a hardware problem i think more in the direction of either Nvidias Driver or Microsoft DirectX but im not sure.
Strange is when i move another Window above the VMR9 surface or minimize it the Kernel Peaks go away (so if Video output isn't being displayed no Kernel Peaks)
And yeah i didn't have this problem before but im not sure when it came into play my guess now is it might appeared after one of the DirectX monthly updates (as i tried different Nvidia driver already).
I also tried disabling many of the device driver but it doesn't make it any better (Onboard Sound ect).
Maybe someone else is experience the same Phenomenon currently on his 8800 GT on XP with VMR9 and latest DirectX.
The Picture shows it from Mplayer Classic Home Cinema though the Peaking also appears with any other application that uses VMR9 windowed as output renderer.
