I'm glad EA is taking the hint from Namco that making a product unique or at least more appealing to a certain consumer base might not be a bad idea. Also, since when is it bad for a company to use its flagship franchises to sell more units in a game?

That was a poor attempt at trolling because you forgot to include Pokemon. Anyway, the character that you see above you (wearing green) in Soul Calibur 2 is not Zelda. His name is Link.

London-boy is probably unaware of the fact that the Gamecube version of Soul Calibur 2 outsold the Xbox and the PS2 versions in North America.
So THAT's where my sore throat comes from.Qroach said:London boy, you can't say anything that isn't 100% postive regarding about nintendo without getting punched in the throat it seems. I do agree with you tho, nintendo does need to create some new franchise characters.

I was talking about franchises, and there is no Link franchise, there is a Zelda franchise.
The fact that SC2 on GC outsold the Xbox and PS2 versions means only one thing, it was the only decent Fighting Game on GC, while on PS2 people already had TTT, DOA2, T4, VF4 and others, while on Xbox, well that's another issue. It only shows that GC owner could only buy SC2 if they wanted a good fighting game.
No reason to get so defensive, and if you think i was trolling, well that's your problem.
Well, all i can say is that i've been around here long enough to know what trolling is, what honest opinion is, what defensiveness is, after a while and after enough posts around here you see the patterns, it's like the Matrix, i don't see the web pages anymore, i just see the code. Deja-vu and all.
But Nintendo is a profitable company &#%!#"$!!!111 Oh wait I've seen it at somewhere else as my alter-ego can recite nintendood-talk like Gollumlondon-boy said:Deja-vu and all.

I know what you mean. I'm wearing a turtle neck just incase I get punched in the throat right now. I can't help but say that was the way I felt about nintendo since the N64. They need to reach beyond Mario and zelda and create some new interesting franchises.
