Looks like them stupid Americans get what they paid for after all. Oh, wait maybe the whole affair is fake and being rendered in Pixar studios. :devilish:

Im sure that some people will never believe we went to mars. Thats just their nature. But to the heart of the matter. Congratz to all those involved in the project. Great breakthrough. ;)

ESA reported a while ago that Mars Express had found water around one of the poles.

Through the initial mapping of the South polar cap on 18 January, OMEGA, the combined camera and infrared spectrometer, has already revealed the presence of water ice and carbon dioxide ice.

They also have a picture of an old river at their site. The american findings could suggest there were huge oceans at one time. Most cool I dare say.

yeah, they've known water in the solid state is on mars, in the poles

but with the discovery that Mars once had Liquid water lends the theory that conditions could have been right for life as we know it to form in those waters

"It's life Jim, but not a we know it" :D

What is more imp is whether there is any water left on mars; atleast on its poles so that we could even think about setting some sort of human colony there.
