- Sega has revealed new details on Sonic Mega Collection Plus for PlayStation 2, a compilation of 16 classic Sonic games, includes:

Three Lock-on games from Sonic & Knuckles

- Sonic Spinball
- Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean machine
Four bonus Sega Genesis games

- Flicky
- Ristar
Six Sonic Sega Game Gear games
- Sonic The Hedgehog
- Sonic Chaos
- Sonic Drift
- Sonic Labyrinth

Sonic Museum - collection of arts, comics and sounds

- Sonic Mega Collection Plus is scheduled for a November 2004 release in US, for $19.99.

Sonic CD is still, IMO, the best Sonic game out there. I could maybe see why it was left out of the GC compilation (erm.. FMV size?), but compiling every 2D Sonic game BUT pinacle of the series, is just a crime.

Who knows. It can still be had for the PC if you want it bad enough. There are always like two copies at a local Best Buy whenever I go.

This collection will make me very happy, but it would be great if Knuckles' Chaotix were thrown into the mix as well. Along with the arcade games and other stuff as well.

I thought I heard Sonic CD was first meant as a remake for PlayStation 2, but then was rejected by Sony Computer Entertainment. Maybe it has to do with this abscence.
