Took these shots for another forum but said what the hell might aswell post them here too. Picture quality is amazing (using VGA for 1080p). Looks onpar or better than my standalone Toshiba player did. These are off my Westinghouse 42inch native 1080p LCD.

you should definitely pick one of these bad boys up if you have a 360 and want the best PQ ;)

Jesus... Lawrence Fishborne sure is being used as the "standard" for skin detail in HD material huh...

Looks horrible to be honest, but technically it's great :devilish:

Thanks for the pics. I gave up trying to take some good ones of mine as I wasn't getting great results. My camera (Nikon D50) resolves too much detail resulting in moire issues on focused images.

This is pretty funny. I've got the exact same TV with my vision camera in the exact same spot, with almost the same games in a similar pile in that same location. ;)

LOL, I was gonna say the exact same thing, Lawrence Fishburne + HD is not a good combination!

I love that pic of Kong though, poor guy :(

Can't wait to get my hands on a HD disc player, my 90" is so thirsty for some high definition content.
Has the addon already released in EU?
Edit: I guess it's already released. I just haven't seen them in any shops, neither in any ads that drop from my mailbox. They must've been is such short supply they never reached this country.

BTW, this was one of the big issues discussed in the mid 90s on whether we really "wanted" HD for movies or not, because close ups to expose a ton of blemishes that SDTV nicely covers up. It is good IMO, you can see for yourself that most actors are not half of what you think they are.

yep... I'm only in 1080i and I think mine looks amazing too. better than my HDTV cable feed.

The drive is quiet, quick and feature rich as well. A no brainer considering it includes a universal remote and an HD movie for < $200.

I have mine standing up next to the xbox and it takes up almost no space.

I noticed that last year... most of our "hot" actresses are 25% smoke and mirrors. :p

Seeing them in HD gives real life girls a fighting chance again. ;)

For those looking for porn in HD...just say no...don't ruin your fantasies :devilish:

Just as I said, we're all gonna be singing: "HDTV killed the Adult Video Star" 10 years from now. :devilish:

From what I've seen that's not true. :devilish:

Edit: In porn the demand for great detail is not there, and there are a number of ways to be in HD but still not have great detail.

Pfft. You guys are so superficial.

Honestly, I think people look more beautiful and natural when you can see thier imperfections. The whole Barbie doll look almost looks CG to me, even a bit cold. I say bring on HD in all it's purportedly "ugly" glory. Besides, movie theatres have been equivalent to HD for a long time now.

(Well, except Lawrence Fishburne, of course  )

uh, I can see pores, spots, pimples and small hairs perfectly well in SD already, at least in reasonably close-up shots, like that L.Fishburne shot, I see pretty much the same detail in my M.I III DVD.
It's the longer distance shots I see most of the difference in HD material.
Not all the actors have that bad skin anyway :) A little powder puff does enough.
