R580 first SM4.0 Part?

Assuming the R580 plays an important early/mid refresh for ATIs top 3/4 tier cards next year, and assuming this: http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=26220: is true, quite a possability is it not? DX9.0L (WGF 1.0) support on the R580 then moving to fully (WGF 2.0) for Vistra with the R600. Surely Nvidia will push this as early as possible unless DX9.0L coincides WGF2.0 with vista as the final XP update which is also possible.

So the current roadmap as i see it as follows:
R520 -> G70 this year

R580 -> G80 next year (Q2 Release or earlier to meet Nvidias launch, as i see it ATI will ride the R520 as long as Nvidia makes no major changes to the G70)

R600 -> G8X or G90 (most likely an NV50 derivative unless that is launched early against the R580 which would leave what, a major refresh part against the R600 if needed?)

Teleportation -> Worm holes?

Anyone have any info as to what major graphical enhancments SM4.0 is likely to employ as well?

WGF2.0/DX10 or whatever they're going to call it has also a Geometry Shader.

R600 is going to be fully DX10 compliant; R580 belongs to the same family as R520 and thus SM3.0 compliant.

I agree. I seriously doubt SM4.0 in the R580.
