PS3 Web Browser

No you can't, although it supports Flash by default (though what level, I don't know - at least it runs Youtube).

If you want more than what the browser offers you by default, you either have to wait until Sony release firmware updates to it (which will happen, as we've seen with the PSP), or you'll have to install Linux, which would allow you to run FireFox ...

It seems to support the latest Java and Flash 8. Any other plug-in you'd have to wait for support from Sony -- unless you use Linux and then you can do whatever you want.

I haven't had any problems with any site so far, regardless -- haven't used it tons though, mostly just to mess around at this point.

The added predictive text entry is pretty nice if you don't have a keyboard.

Yea the text prediction is pretty good.

Anyway for you to zoom in, browsing and being like 6ft from my TV some sites have small text. Even when I change character size to 2.

I'd like to zoom in to some areas.

Opera has superb zooming options, hopefully the PS3 version gets these features eventually too.

Maybe you could change the resolution to 480p as a temporary solution/experiment? Not ideal, but it would make the webpages much bigger. This is assuming you are using a HDtv now.

Yea, I'm running 1080p now. I tried the choice for SD/HD and chose SD but it didn't make a difference.

I'll just have to hope they get a zoom in soon. Also log a request on their feedback forum.
