Possible technics for next gen consoles?

What kind of technics could be used to improve qualitity in next gen of consoles, without raising to much the price, if they have a target. I mean if we aim at 720p we already had enough filtrate (in theory at least) so things like this

make a lot of sense, like Virtual Memory it can reduce the memory cost, as eDram. A in order CPU.Or a connection between C/GPU.

Those things could make a huge diference and ( in a console ) they are relatively low cost.


What kind of others technics could they use to create low cost consoles and give this kind of performance boost :?:
