I have a AMD Athlon XP 2000+ and Kingston DDR rated at CAS Latency of 2.5, all on a MSI K7T266 Pro2 mobo.
I'd like to know what is the maximum bus speed I can attain for overclocking.
Setting to CAS Latency of 2 (instead of the Kingston's rated 2.5) for the RAM with 133 DDR system clock (i.e. 266 bus) is fine. I experimented by setting CAS Latency to the Kingston's default of 2.5 while upping to 140 and WinXP loaded up fine. I'm too scared to try 140 with CAS 2 for fear of data corruption. I also haven't tried going past 140 with CAS 2.5 .
I'd just like to know if anyone who has my combination (CPU, RAM and, to a lesser extent, mobo) has come to any stable o/c combination.
Thanks.
