North America seems to be DS's weakest territory. Japan sales - no surprise there - is still going strong.

North America is still largely dominated by the GBA as far as handhelds are concerned. With Nintendo saying that they don't plan to introduce a successor to the Gameboy line right now, we will have to see if the introduction of the DS Lite brings GBA users on the DS train, or if the sub-100$ price point is absolutely necessary for that, in which case Nintendo would be wise to drop the DS Brick to 99$ ASAP.
