NVNVEWS Reports the following:

Geek Exclusive... - 7/15/02 7:52 am - By: pelly - Source: Geek Extreme
It appears as though Geek Extreme will have some juicey details for us sometime tomorrow...

"As I mentioned before we have some exclusive video and an interview regarding nVidia's next generation platform technologies. Unfortunately, the NDA for this was pushed back to Tuesday, the 16th, at 6am PST (or 9am EST where GE Headquarters is located.) - So when you wake up on the 16th there will be some nice goodies waiting here for you. Keep your eyes peeled!"

So what do u guys think it will be?

NV30? NForce 2?

Most likely Nforce 2.I remember reading somewhere that the 16 th was the date for the debut of it.

As for the NV-30 month there is always next month. ;)

I personally would really like to see NV30, since so many things are promised by NVIDIA in it, that it will revolutionize the world! :D

One thing is for sure: R300 should beat TI4600 both when speed & quality are concerned, although it will probably loose to NV30...

We shall see...

Personally, I can't wait! :D

notice how Nvidia pushed the date back of the nforce 2 to the 16th .... seems to me their planning to ruffle the launching of the R300 on the 17th

ATI and Nvidia know each others moves only too well
wonder who's supplying each other with the info???

How can you compare 2 card that so far exist only on paper (at least for us ordinary people)?

You're right, I can't...

It's all just guesses for now...

"...next generation platform technologies"

Why is there any doubt as to what product this is referring to?

A shame it wasn't a low end DX8 part integrated. :(

It is a bit of a shame, but not really much of a surprise - NVIDIA's success rest partly on their ability to take a design and leverage it into different markets with as few changes as possible; they presently don't really have a low end DX8 part to do this with yet. Plus, I'd bet that DX8 silicon costs are a little too big still for integration under .15um - at least, the IGP can run without cooling at all on nForce2 (although, no doubt MB manufacturers will put heatsinks on anyway), I'd bet thats not possible with a DX8 part running at an OK speed.

Otherwise it looks relatively tasty

Yes, plenty of useful stuff in there. It really is a shame that there are no P4 variants about to happen.
