new monitor but refresh rate probs !

HI guys,
i recently purchased a NEW 19" monitor model FE991SB. I installedthe drivers and used reforce to force refresh rates other than 60hrz in windows XP. I am currently running 1024x768 at 100 hz. Every game runs fine except for counter-strike 1.6 which for so reason seems choppy. I can see the horizontal line move up the screen when it refreshes. Can anyone provide any insight into what is causing this and why ?

You need to enable VSYNC either in your video card drivers or preferably within the game.

Yes.. that's the point.
It syncs the fps to your monitor refresh rate.
However double bufferd vsync makes your fps a fraction(literally) of your refresh rate when your fps goes lower than your refresh rate.
Tripple buffering removes this limitation
