Please come and take some work off my plate.

Sigmatel is growing daily, and we have a large number of open positions in all sorts of areas.

http://www.sigmatel.com/corporate/jobs/jobs.htm

These are all jobs in the Austin area, though I think there may be some positions in various east Asia offices not listed on the website. As far as I know, Sigmatel will relocate and sponsor H1-Bs, depending on experience and skill set.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, either in this thread or through a PM.

And, of course, if you submit a resume, please mention me (for the obvious reason)

/hopefully haven't offended any netiquette gods

We've had interns before, though as far as I know we don't have an official intern program.

Send an email to careers and ask.

So what is the bonus for finding a new employee then, Russ? :)

It changes.

But I'm mostly interested in increasing our staff so we can tackle more projects and continue growing.

I always find the "previous experience" requirements ridiculous (in general). How on earth are you going to get 4-7 years experience doing "whatever" when everyone expects to have that at the start? :(

We faced this with a round of ARM internship applications recently. They stated that they were targeting penultimate year CS or EE students but many of the individual job descriptions requested 2+yrs of experience in a specialist field. I don't think it's a strict requirement - our careers service said ignore it.

Our company does seem to have high experience standards, but I would take MuFu's advice about ignoring the requirements. The worst that will happen is you waste time sending an email.

But I do find some of those experience requirements pretty funny: I remember looking at jobs that required 5+ years experience in MFC...when MFC had only been around for 3-4 years.

I'm currently looking for a job and I see 5 years experience in .NET and/or DirectX9 as a requirement all the time. This makes it kinda hard to take all the other experience level requirements seriously...
