If true, FINALLY some buy-outs from MS. Lionhead and Molyneux is a nice aquisition if true. Hopefully Molyneux can create a spiritual successor to Syndicate...

If they were smart they would buy Ubisoft.

I would agree, IMO nothing could compare to the Exclusives but the company over all would loose money not making games for competing platfoms(minus PC of course)

To tell you the truth, I really don't see why MS would go after them, it is not exctly as if they are producing a lot of games or that they have IPs that console gamers go for...

We don´t know what they have under development either..
But now, if this is true, MS will controll the Black and White, The Movies, B.C and the so ever elusive "Dimitri" IPs..

But yeah, the track record for Lionhead is so so, Fable (from BBB) is their best selling game..

The Movies was said to have sold around 80k units, so it's dead in the water.
Unless Dmitri is cure-for-cancer-over-Xbox-Live, I would guess Fable is the main good in the transaction.

Yeah, I think the Fable IP is the big thing here. Maybe they want the BC IP as well. The rest I'm not sure about. Honestly, I'd rather see Lionhead join the Bioware/Pandemic group.

MS buying out Ubisoft would cost far more than it's worth, and it would tick off EA which MS has learned (the hard way) is a very bad thing.
