They made a quest or two for the game. Cursed Tomb Treasure.

In fact I'm surprised they were still around. Monolith hasn't released a single game since 2017, and that was just a sequel to a previous Middle Earth game of theirs using the same game engine. 8 years with no games worth showing to the public is a long time for a development studio to last when their last few games weren't exactly huge sales hits.

I will miss them, especially since this means that my secret dream of a SHOGO II is now shattered, but it doesn't surprise me.

I hope it's another NOLF, but I know it's probably not.

I don't think so. I believe Nightdive studios tried to sort the IP out in order to release it on GOG, but there is no interest in sending people into the archives and pay for lawyers to see if the IP is worth something from the likely owners.

NOLF is one of my absolute favorite games series however. Absolutely loved the games growing up. I'd love to re-play them legally. A spiritual successor wouldn't be too shabby either.
