Is it just me, or is NV40 speculation WORSE now than before?

It seems as if things just got more confused rather than less, judging by some of the posts people are making...

The 3D tech forum is full of NV40 threads, almost all of them flashing yellow "new messages since last visit" if I don't return for a couple hours. Lucky us (and the server this board resides on) the R420 wasn't released the same day! Half the active threads would be flushed down on the 2nd page...

I'm not asking for moderators to step in and take action or anything like that. I'm just making an observation. :)
 
Nah...it's just the natural progression of things:

1) Pre launch of both either product: speculation on architecture and implicaitons thereof.

2) Post launch product 1, pre launch product 2: speculation on architecture 2, and implications vs. known quantity 1.

3) (Coming Soon) Post launch product 2: Cases made for the "winner and loser"....with lots of "but wait for shipping products and final drivers" disclaimers coming from the "losing" side.

4) Post availability: Start process all over again for the next round. ;)
