I'm thinking of upgrading my setup and could use advice

This is what I have, a pentium D dual core processor 2.8ghz, 512 mb ddr2 ram, and an ati radeon x300 graphics card, 128mb. I know the card and ram need to be better for gaming, i didnt have this in mind when i bought it since im always on my 360 but the release linup is too good. I'm thinking of 2Gb ram, and a dx10 card with vista, but should i wait till vista is more bug free or not bother at all (i have xp sp2). I currently use my pc for multi media and its great for that, but will these parts make that better, i.e streaming content, or not and I pay games like civilizations and C&C more than anything on PC's with maybe fps's too.

if you really dont want to spend much just a video card upgrade will do you
your on agp so a x1950pro will make a world of difference.

then the memory another 512 will improve things alot, going from 1 gig to 2 gig wont make a huge difference, but 512mb to 1 gig will.

your cpu although getting on a bit will still run 99% of games fine

of course if you do want to spend money then go nuts
