google web accelerator anyone?

Err I just downloaded the google web accelerator and it is pretty darn brilliant IMO. It is for broadband users though so be warned. It wont speed dialups. Cant find linky trust me and it is not for lack of trying. I just simply cant find it again! I think i found the link @ slashdot.

Looks just like a big web cache. Of course Google is probably the world's largest web cache. If your ISP has a web cache farm like mine has, this probably won't work any better. What I've found is that web caches can be faster if the pages are cached (hits), but can be slower if the page requests are not in the cache (misses).
 
I noticed that if you place your mouse on a link that the browser actually goes ahead and and caches the content. If you press ctrl alt del and go to the networking tab iyou can see the usage go up...note it only happens on some sites like java.sun.com

I like it overall it is pretty damn fast. I guess the faster the connection you have the more you will notice it. Very nice.
