DX9 Demo/Benchmark Locations

I was wondering if any of the B3D staff have considered compiling a central list for all DX9 Demo and Benchmark locations as a sticky here? Just to make it easier to find everything. I suppose that would include Humus' demos, 3DMark, Nvidia's Demos, ATI's Demos, and whatever other demos 3rd parties create.

I guess I'm interested cause I'm getting my Sapphire 9800 Pro 256MB tomorrow weeeee.

This sounds like an excellent idea - A comprehensive list of DirectX 9 demos and what cards they work on would be cool.

Though these aren't DX9-specific games, as they don't use any of the "fancy features" and aren't graphically impressive.

They do stress the slower CPUs though, for the physics sim

recently had a lan party and managed to snag the ati chimp demo from a mate who has broadband....

it''s amazing,, utterly amazing........ so i'd recommend that one .

oh and of course the "globes in a forest" and "animusic" examples are pretty fantastic as well............

Well, I don't know about that. . . I bought my expensive video card to play great looking games really fast and to enjoy fiddling with it's cool new capabilities. . .

*true* , but when you've just got the thing , and most games just seem like "faster versions" rather than "prettier" , it can make one feel rather smug when one see's that chimp and butterfly.............

shame the games are just currently not in the same league

mind you the chimp frame-rate on my 9500pro/1200athlon isnt that great :/

I thought the manual camera view looking at the butterfly on a leaf in the water was better than the one looking at the chimp.
