Strange because I came across this article recently, a correlation between gaming and unemployment:

imho, there are cases and cases. One of the people I admire the most is someone who is married, has two kids, a job as an engineer, is in his 30s, beats arcade games with a single credit and is always playing and trying videogames, always practicing arcade games to beat with a single creidt, creates tutorials, started a forum as of recently, he helps people when they ask things, he replies every single comment in his youtube videos, he plays with groups of friends online and talks to them on Skype at the same time at the weekend, he has beaten more than 1000 arcade games with a single credit -alone or coop of up to 4 players- and uploaded the videos of 480 of them, 2 upload each week, etc, has created a community around him and a group of friends he plays games with and he still manages to handle his time beautifully.
He has this gift to handle time, which I don't know how to do, because I want to play games and I can't as of late, because I think I don't find the time, and I just have a GF though we are planning to have children though I am studying programming which is very demanding. The guy always says that "we people are usually so bad at managing time".
As for the CV, it might depend on where you live too. In my country saying in your CV that you play Xbox is bad because that has to be a joke, given the fact that PlayStation is much more popular here.
