Overall the game is growing on me. I noticed there is screen shake when your gun is fired, which to me makes the weapon recoil look/feel more alive. Also the crosshair fade in/out is cool. I still can't stand the static weapon crosshair. The weapon crosshair just looks so out of place in a enviroment with such frenetic gameplay. An absolute anchor point of impervious twin pillars, when you're in a whirlwind of chaos, just doesn't mesh. Watching the gameplay footage, I tend to concentrate my attention around the area of the crosshair during firefights, and from my experience as a gamer thats where I'll tend to look playing the game.
The crosshair needs to be more dynamic and react to what is going on more. The rigid nature of how it works now, I think contributes to the false perception of the animation looking a bit awkward. Obviously GoW is going for a cinematic look, so a minimalistic design makes sense, but why can't it dilate, turn clockwise, and have viscous movment in reaction to when you doge to the ground?
