Pretty much all LCDs have this issue. BTW, posting a artifacted JPEG is probably not the best way to go.

this reminds me of old reviews you can find on the internet, such as Voodoo1 vs Riva128. you had two downsized, highly compressed screenshots of some DX5 game, with some insane gamma correction on one of them, and that was "image quality comparison"

if anything that picture tells how much JPEG can be damaging. for such purpose only PNG should be used.
