Here's the link to where I found this:

http://www.techpowerup.com/index.php?4042

Basically the breakdown is:

G74M - 7200 Go - 8 pipes

G73M - 7600 Go - 12 pipes

G71M - 7800 Go - 16 pipes

Maybe this is also a hint of what might be to come later on the desktop - who knows? If there's a fanless AGP solution based on G70 at one point or another, I definitely would be interested. Unfortunately I believe from here on out all NVidia chips will be bridged, and I have yet to see one bridged chip with passive cooling this gen.

EDIT: Since the source's own 'source' article is dated June though, make the whole thing much more suspect. Only realized that after posting, but there still may be some value here in discussing.

Didn't recent information about nVidia's mobile part call it the G70M, not the G71M?
G70M would, afaik, be the 20 pipes derivative. Most likely a "7800 Go Ultra" or something along these lines. What's most interesting here imo, if true, is that the G74M will have 8 pipelines- no more 4 pipelines low-end part from NVIDIA. I wonder what will be the price of that part... (that is, will it compete with the RV515, or the RV530? I'd guess it do be in the middle, but I can't say for sure).

According to a roadmap from Feb, G71M and G72M would be the replacements for NV43M and NV44M respectively, and it wasn't incorrect about G70.

Good point. I can see that.

As to the 8 pipes = low end instead of 4, well, the march of technology goes on and on............

Ah. So the Germans are wrong! G70M it is! And here I am thinking Uttar knows his stuff......

j/k!!!! please don't kill me. :(

a 12 pipe 7600 in a thin and light notebook could be very, very interesting. Let's just hope that the 7600 is more successfull than the 6600 Go. I've only seen one 6600 Go in a thin and light notebook, and it was clocked at 250MHz. Yuck.
