Personally, I would lay more blame with Jeff Kennet who broke up and privatised Victorian public transport, but I agree, Bracks should be doing more. Ideologically, Kennett is however very much aligned with Howard and as such my point is not entirely specious.

Anyway, as a Uni Student surely you should be driving a beaten up 80's model Ford Laser hatchback. I'd complain to your student union (in the last remaining days of they're exisitence :devilish: ) if you haven't as yet been issued with yours ....
 
IMO our public transport is pretty good, they just need to keep investing in it (as they have been recently with all the new trains and trams) rather than caving in to 4WD-driving morons begging for more freeways.
