This is awesome. First a little history. Back when the internet was slowly starting, everyone was either using Prodigy, AOL, or Compuserve along with their blazing fast 14.4K modems. Well I signed up for an AOL membership as my ISP and did the whole chat thing etc. back then. After about 3 years I switched to Earthlink unlimited dial-up but still kept my AOL account so I could keep my email account. However I switched that AOL account to the $5/month solely to keep my email. Later on when I moved all of my email tasks over to Earthlink I finally cancelled my AOL account.
However, just today I logged onto AOL's online email site with my old screen name and it still works!!! Not only that but I get 2GB of space to boot! So far I have Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail email accounts all for free! Unfortunately all of my old emails are gone though.
