Body Bag - color effect

I believe this is the right section for this question.

The body bags shown in Max Payne 2 have a very nice and real effect. Is that ps2.0 or simply ps1.x?

Thanks...

IMO the 3D Architecture and Coding section would have been a better choice ( if there's sense in creating a topic just for this at all ).
Anyway, IIRC MP2 is a strictly PS1.x game.

When MP2 came out I remember reading that the mirrors didn't work with ps 1x cards ie gf3-4 and only worked right on ps2.0 cards? :?

Could be wrong but I remember reading this in the games section here when it came out.

DISCLAIMER: It's been 8 or so months since I last had to think about these so my memory may not serve me right :)

The mirrors in Max2 are fixed function, but the implementation we had required a flag (I really can't remember which and can't be bothered to search my e-mails) that NV did not expose due to some related WHQL restriction. And the performance wouldn't have been good enough with anything but 5900FX and better, so it was decided at that point that a NV-special case hack was not worth it.

The body bags are just plain texture + env if I recall correctly. The only pixel shader stuff in the game was the character lighting (1.4) and the bullet time post-process effect.
